Dum Dum Uttar is a Legislative Assembly constituency in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal It forms part of the Dum Dum Lok Sabha constituency and has no reservation status. Established in 2011 following delimitation, it covers North Dum Dum Municipality and New Barrackpur Municipality. In the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election for Dum Dum Uttar constituency, Chandrima Bhattacharya of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won the seat, reclaiming it from the previous CPI(M) holder. Chandrima Bhattacharya (AITC) defeated her main rival from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other contenders in a competitive race. She secured a significant majority, reflecting AITC's strong performance in the region during that cycle.
