Kakdwip Assembly constituency is one of the 294 Assembly constituencies in West Bengal. It is a General category seat and is located in the South 24 Parganas district. The constituency is part of the Mathurapur (SC) Parliamentary constituency, which includes seven Assembly segments.
In the 2021 Assembly election, Manturam Pakhira from the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) won the seat. He has also represented the constituency in the 2016 and 2011 Assembly elections as an AITC candidate, making it three consecutive terms.
In the 2021 Assembly election, AITC secured 52.14 per cent of the vote share, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received 40.62 per cent of the votes.
