Nabagram (SC) is one of the 294 Assembly constituencies in West Bengal, located in Murshidabad district and forming part of the Jangipur Lok Sabha seat. Reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates, the constituency has seen continuity in leadership alongside shifts in party affiliation in recent elections.
In the 2021 Assembly elections, Nabagram had 251,378 registered electors, of whom 208,516 cast valid votes. The seat was won by Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Kanai Chandra Mondal, who secured 100,455 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Mohan Halder finished second with 64,922 votes, trailing by a margin of 35,533 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, the constituency had an electorate of 222,785, with 181,705 valid votes recorded, reflecting a turnout of 81.56 per cent. Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Kanai Chandra Mondal won the seat with 99,545 votes. TMC candidate Dilip Saha came second with 61,102 votes, losing by a margin of 38,443 votes.
