Behala Paschim Assembly constituency, formerly known as Behala West, is a Legislative Assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas district in the West Bengal. It is a general category seat established in 1951 and is part of No. 23 Kolkata Dakshin Lok Sabha constituency. The constituency is one of the seven assembly segments of Kolkata Dakshin Parliament Seat and is one of the 294 assembly constituencies in West Bengal. In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Partha Chatterjee of AITC won with 1,14,778 votes, defeating BJP’s Srabanti Chatterjee by a margin of 50,884 votes. In 2016, Partha Chatterjee of AITC secured victory with 1,02,114 votes, beating CPM’s Kaustav Chatterjee by 8,896 votes.
