Bhangar Assembly constituency is a Legislative Assembly constituency of South 24 Parganas district in the West Bengal. As per the order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in West Bengal, Bhangar Assembly constituency is composed of Jagulgachhi, Narayanpur and Pranganj gram panchayats of Bhangar I community development block and the entire Bhangar II community development block. Bhangar Assembly constituency is a part of No. 22 Jadavpur (Lok Sabha constituency) and is a general seat established in 1951. Bhangar Assembly constituency is part of the Jadavpur parliamentary constituency, located in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. In the Vidhan Sabha elections 2021, Md. Nawsad Siddique of RSSCMJP party won with 1,09,237 votes. The runner-up was Karim Rezaul of AITC party, with a margin of victory of 26,151 votes. In the Vidhan Sabha elections 2016, Abdur Razzak Molla of AITC party won with 1,02,087 votes, defeating Abdur Rasid Gazi of CPM party by a margin of 18,124 votes.
