Baduria is a predominantly rural, general category Assembly constituency located in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
In the 2021 Assembly elections, the Baduria constituency had a total of 2,43,747 electors, with 2,12,883 valid votes cast. Trinamool Congress candidate Abdur Rahim Quazi won the seat with 1,09,701 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sukalyan Baidya finished second with 53,257 votes, losing by a margin of 56,444 votes.
In 2016, the constituency had 2,23,537 electors and recorded 1,96,150 valid votes. Congress candidate Abdur Rahim Quazi won the election with 98,408 votes, while Trinamool Congress candidate Amir Ali secured 76,163 votes and lost by 22,245 votes.
During the 2011 Assembly elections, Baduria had 1,88,461 electors and 1,69,179 valid votes. Congress candidate Abdul Gaffar Quazi won the seat with 89,952 votes, while Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Md Shelim Gain came second with 66,992 votes, losing by 22,960 votes.
