Bangaon Dakshin is a Scheduled Caste-reserved Assembly constituency in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal and forms part of the Bangaon Lok Sabha constituency.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Bangaon Dakshin had a total of 2,25,008 electors, with 1,87,775 valid votes cast. All India Trinamool Congress candidate Surajit Kumar Biswas won the seat with 92,379 votes. Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Ramendranath Audhya finished second with 65,475 votes, losing by a margin of 26,904 votes.
In the 2011 elections, the constituency had 1,89,044 electors and recorded 1,63,230 valid votes. Trinamool Congress candidate Surajit Kumar Biswas won with 87,677 votes, while Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Anuj Baran Sarkar secured 65,788 votes and lost by 21,889 votes.
