Sonarpur Uttar Assembly constituency is a Legislative Assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas district in the West Bengal. It is a general category seat established in 1962 and is one of the seven assembly segments of the Jadavpur Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Firdousi Begum of AITC won the seat with 1,19,957 votes, defeating BJP’s Ranjan Baidya by a margin of 36,090 votes. In 2016, Firdousi Begum also won the constituency with 1,01,939 votes, surpassing CPM’s Jyotirmoyee Sikdar by 24,880 votes.
