Muthialpet Assembly Election Results 2026
Muthialpet is one of the 30 assembly constituencies in Puducherry and forms part of the Union territory’s sole Lok Sabha seat (also called Puducherry). In the 2021 assembly election, independent candidate J Prakash Kumar won the seat, narrowly defeating AIADMK’s V Manikandan by 934 votes. Muthialpet has traditionally alternated between the two Tamil rivals, AIADMK and DMK. Manikandan had previously won the constituency for AIADMK in 2016 by 2,164 votes, defeating Prakash Kumar, who contested that year as an All India NR Congress candidate. In 2021, Muthialpet had 29,890 registered electors, of whom 23,150 cast their votes.
