Kaithal: A farmer's daughter from Devban village in Kaithal district secured the third rank in Haryana in the Class X exams conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana, scoring 497 out of 500 marks.
Mansi, who also featured among the district's top three students, emerged as one of the top achievers as Kaithal recorded an overall pass percentage of 91.6%.
Speaking about her achievement, Mansi said her father, Sanjay, is a farmer while her mother, Anita Devi, is a homemaker.
"I studied for around four to five hours daily after school and stayed away from mobile phones and other electronic gadgets," she said, crediting discipline and regular study for her success.
District education office result nodal officer Praveen Thareja congratulated the successful students and wished them success in the future.
In the district merit list, Riya from Devban village, Diksha from Kailram and Kartik from Kamalpur jointly secured second position with 496 marks each.
Yashika from Rajound, Alka Dhull from Badsikri, and Lakshya and Jyoti jointly secured third position in the district with 495 marks each.
According to official data, 13,528 students appeared in the Class 10 board examinations in Kaithal district, of whom 12,388 passed while 267 were placed in the reappear category.
