Suspended AAP MLA joins Bittu for flagging off train
Amritsar: The suspended AAP MLA from Amritsar North, Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, was seen alongside Union minister of state for railways Ravneet Singh Bittu here on Thursday.Vijay Partap, a former IPS officer who was suspended from AAP on June 29, 2025, had in recent months been openly critical of the party leadership and alleged wrongdoings within the organisation, including by leaders from his own party. Sources said an "announcement" regarding Kunwar's political future could be made soon. Meanwhile, Bittu launched a scathing attack on AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, questioning his political standing and relevance. "Who is Kejriwal? Is he an MLA, a councillor, a sarpanch or a panch? What exactly is Kejriwal today?" Bittu said.The Union minister also targeted Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann, alleging that the AAP govt was relying on gangsters to counter the BJP's anticipated "double-engine govt" in Punjab.Bittu also took on AAP's ministers in the state. "Everyone of them should be thoroughly investigated and dealt with strictly," he said.
