In the 2026 Hojai constituency assembly elections, the BJP's Shiladitya Dev won with 144361 votes. He defeated Jhilli Chowdhury of the Congress by a margin of 66,701 votes. Hojai is a general assembly seat in the Hojai district of Assam. Following the 2023 delimitation, it is designated as part of the Kaziranga Lok Sabha constituency (previously under the Nowgong Lok Sabha seat).In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 2,66,431 registered voters, with 2,22,096 valid votes cast. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ramkrishna Ghosh won the seat with 1,25,790 votes. Congress candidate Debabrata Saha finished second with 92,008 votes, losing by a margin of 33,782 votes.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Hojai had 2,25,980 electors, with 1,94,147 valid votes recorded. BJP candidate Shiladitya Dev won the seat with 1,05,615 votes, defeating All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) candidate Dhaniram Thousen, who secured 49,756 votes. The victory margin was 55,859 votes.
