Tirupati: State HRD minister Nara Lokesh visited the Rural Development Trust (RDT) hospital at Bathalapalli in Sri Sathya Sai district on Thursday.
The minister paid tributes to RDT founder Vicente Ferrer and interacted with RDT director Moncho Ferrer and other RDT functionaries on the sidelines of his two-day visit to Sri Sathya Sai and Anantapur districts on Thursday. Lokesh also interacted with the RDT hospital staff and patients during his visit.

Lokesh observed that RDT was not just an organisation but a movement. It has been 55 years since RDT was established, and over the years, the organisation has been extending impeccable services to the economically deprived sections of society and trying to uplift them by establishing schools, hospitals, housing and sports infrastructure.
“Though there have been some misunderstandings in the past and RDT had to face hardships, I personally interacted with Moncho Ferrer, and we got their FCRA license approved by the NDA govt”, Lokesh underlined.
We extended solidarity to RDT because this organisation has literally adopted a backward region of the state and has committed itself to the upliftment of the people of this backward region”, the HRD minister asserted.
