Lucknow: Loneliness of a child was portrayed in the play ‘Ek Bacche Ki Diary’ that was staged on first day of the two-day theatre fest organised by Anadi Cultural Educational and Social Organisation at International Buddhist Research Centre on Thursday.
Written by Karuna Pandey and directed by Munni Devi, the play focused on how
Sameer, a sensitive child, driven to attempt suicide under the weight of loneliness and parental pressure. Sameer notes all his feelings in a diary.
The play ends on a hopeful note, with Sameer’s smile returning on his birthday as he finds his mother’s renewed affection. On Friday, play ‘Til Ka Taad’, will be staged.
