Kolhapur: Congress Solapur MP Praniti Shinde has issued a legal notice seeking an unconditional public apology from rural development minister Jaykumar Gore, who is also the Solapur guardian minister, over his alleged offensive and derogatory remarks causing insult to Shinde and women.The alleged remarks were made on May 8 while the minister was interacting with the media over the completion of a highway passing around Solapur city.On behalf of Shinde, advocate Asim Sarode issued notice to Gore on Thursday.The notice also seeks to cease and desist the minister from making further derogatory and defamatory remarks against Shinde, and acknowledge the harm caused to the dignity and reputation of the MP. The notice states that if the minister fails to address the demands, then Shinde will initiate civil and criminal proceedings in the court of law.TOI tried to reach both Shinde and Gore, but yielded no response from either.
