BJP Kisan Morcha Bhind district chief removed after leading procession of over 100 vehicles
Bhopal: State BJP chief Hemant Khandelwal on Thursday cancelled the appointment of the organisation’s Bhind district president Sajjan Singh Yadav for allegedly violating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to reduce consumption of petrol and diesel. Sajjan Singh Yadav was appointed to the post a fortnight ago and took out a vehicles’ rally from Gwalior to Bhind on Wednesday evening to show his strength.Since Tuesday, PM Modi has been repeatedly urging people to conserve fuel and not purchase gold in view of the present energy crisis linked to the US-Israel versus Iran conflict. The PM reduced his own convoy to just two vehicles. Other Union ministers including home minister Amit Shah also reduced their convoys. So did chief minister Mohan Yadav. But even after PM Modi’s appeal, the Bhind district Kisan Morcha president Sajjan Yadav took out a ‘welcome’ rally with a cavalcade of more than 120 luxury vehicles. Taking cognisance of this, Khandelwal instructed state Kisan Morcha president Jaipal Singh Chopra to investigate into the rally. On Thursday, Chopra issued a letter to Sajjan Singh Yadav which said, “We came to know through newspapers and social media that yesterday on May 13, 2026 you led a Kisan Morcha procession with hundreds of vehicles that travelled from Gwalior to Bhind. This shows your disregard for the Prime Minister’s appeal to save fuel. The state organisation has taken this action of yours seriously and considered it as indiscipline. Therefore, with orders from the BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, the appointment of Sajjan Singh Yadav, Bhind district Kisan Morcha president is being cancelled.”
