Patna: The railways has cancelled at least 46 passenger trains either originating from or passing through the East Central Railway (ECR) jurisdiction due to non interlocking (NI) work caused by commissioning of the third lines on the Gorakhpur-Domingarh and Gorakhpur-Nakha Jungle routes under North Eastern Railway (NER) from Sept 22 to 26.According to ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, among the cancelled trains are Amritsar-New Jalpaiguri special (04653/04654), Muzaffarpur-Prayagraj Express (12537/12538), Jammu Tawi-Bhagalpur Amarnath Express (15097/15098), Bapudham Motihari-Anand Vihar Express (14009/14010), Dehradun-Muzaffarpur Express (15001/15002) and Sambalpur-Gorakhpur Maurya Express (15027/15028).Similarly Patliputra-Gorakhpur Express (15033/15034, 15079/15080), Kolkata-Gorakhpur Express (15047/15048, 15051/15052), Kamakhya-Gomti Nagar Express (15077/15078), Godda-Gomti Nagar Express (15089/15090), Katihar- Delhi Champaran Humsafar Express (15705/15706), Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express (18629/18630), Patliputra-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express (26501/26502), Barhni-Narkatiaganj passenger (55040), Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur Cantt passenger (55095, 55047/55048, 55097/55098), Barauni-Lucknow Express (15203/15204), Raxaul-Anand Vihar Express (15273/15274) and Anand Vihar- Saharsa Jansadharan Express (15529/15530) are among others cancelled till Sept 26, the CPRO said, adding several other passenger trains will be diverted to other routes during this period.
