Moving car catches fire, driver jumps out to safety
Nagpur: A car caught fire due to a suspected short circuit near Wathoda Square on Thursday afternoon. Nikhil Mohod, who was behind the wheel of the moving vehicle, managed to jump out safely after noticing smoke emanating from the car.According to fire department, a fire call was received at 2.02 pm, following which firefighters from Wathoda fire station reached the spot within two minutes and brought the blaze under control. By then, the fire had already damaged the vehicle's seats, tyres and wiring.Three fire tenders were deployed under the supervision of station in-charge Chandrashekhar R Ranadive. The incident was later reported to Nandanvan police for further action. tnn
