Fire breaks out at Obra Thermal plant in Sonabhadra district

A fire broke out due to aging cable wires inside the cable gallery of Obra Thermal power plant at Sonabhadra district on Sunday morning. No loss to human life or causality has been reported in the fire.

LUCKNOW: A fire broke out due to aging cable wires inside the cable gallery of Obra Thermal power plant at Sonabhadra district on Sunday morning. No loss to human life or causality has been reported in the fire.The fire is under control, said the police officials.Chief general manager of Obra Thermal power plant Arun Kumar Singh told TOI that wires in the cable gallery caught fire around 3.30 am in the morning. The workers saw smoke emanating and alerted the senior officials about the incident."We informed the CISF unit and also the police," said Singh.SP Sonabhadra Rathod Kirti Kumar Hari Bhai said that fire is under control and efforts are on to douse it completely.He also said that the fire was brought under control by the fire department of the police and CISF.
