6 found absent in ind dept, face action

Kanpur: District magistrate, Kanpur Nagar, Jitendra Pratap Singh, on Thursday, directed for deduction of one-day salary of the employees found absent during a random inspection of Industries department.During the inspection, six employees, including deputy commissioner and assistant commissioner (Industries), were found absent.The DM directed that it must be ensured that public grievances were resolved in the office daily from 10am to 12pm. The DM also directed that all gazetted officers must mandatorily sign the attendance register.While inspecting the movement register, the DM found that no entries had been made in it since April 7, 2026. Expressing displeasure over this, he directed that the regular and up-to-date maintenance of office records be ensured.
