Tripura to host 2nd summit of natives residing outside state

Agartala: Tripura is gearing up for a historic occasion as the second Prabashi Tripurabasi Summit 2025-26 is scheduled to take place on Sunday.This initiative was sought to reconnect with natives of Tripura residing beyond the state’s borders. Organised by the Tripura Institution for Transformation (TIFT), the summit aims to nurture emotional, cultural, and developmental bonds with Prabashi Tripurabasi.The individuals originally from Tripura, now spread across India and abroad, who maintain a deep connection to their roots.As stated by the organisers, this gathering offers a unique opportunity for members of the global Tripurabasi community to converge, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and shared participation in the progress of Tripura.The initiative mirrors the govt’s commitment to inclusive development by integrating the diaspora into the broader framework of social, economic and cultural advancement.
