Aligarh double murder: Hotel owner, neighbour found dead in rented car
AGRA: A hotel operator and his friend were found dead with bullet injuries inside a locked car near a bypass in Aligarh district on Thursday. Victims Bobby Singh (32) operated a hotel in Aligarh and his friend and neighbour Mohit (24) worked at a factory.According to the police, villagers saw a car parked near a tree in a field off the highway around 2 pm on Thursday in Khair area. Locals initially assumed that it belonged to a property dealer, but when the vehicle remained unattended till 5 pm, they went near and noticed that the windows were covered with plastic sacks."The car was locked from the outside. On peering inside, villagers spotted two blood-soaked bodies -- one on the front passenger seat and the other on the rear seat -- and alerted the police," said Khair SHO Haribhan Singh.SSP Neeraj Jadaun said, "Family members were informed after the bodies were discovered. Later in the night, I had a conversation with them and managed to extract some clues. They had a party on Thursday afternoon and drove out without telling anyone about their destination. CCTV footage are being analysed."It is suspected that the two men were shot at least twice each. On checking the vehicle's registration number, police called the owner, who said that Bobby and Mohit of Aligarh had taken it on rent for self-drive.Bobby had hired the car from a villager on Dec 24 evening, police said, adding that an FIR was filed under BNS section 103 (1) (murder).
