Anthony Joshua did not dress up his words after his high-profile fight against
Jake Paul. Inside a packed Kaseya Center in Miami on December 19, the heavyweight clash delivered astonishing drama, but it was also a reminder of elite boxing standards. Joshua walked into the bout facing a rival who built his career through confidence and global attention. By the end of the sixth round, the outcome was settled with authority.

After the stoppage, Anthony Joshua was candid in his response when asked about Jake Paul’s power. Speaking with Fight Hub TV, the former champion summed it up in three words, "It was alright." Joshua also looked inward, admitting his showing "could have been better" while focusing on the result. "We got there in the end," he added.
Inside the ring, numbers backed the control Joshua built as the fight matured. He landed 48 punches to Paul’s 16 and scored three knockdowns in the sixth round. The accumulation proved damaging, resulting in a broken jaw for Paul.
Early moments showed Paul’s aggression and speed, yet fatigue opened gaps. Joshua stayed patient and punished mistakes with clean shots.

Jake Paul also shared his perspective while appearing on
Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive. Reflecting on the defining blows, Logan recalled the moment and said, “Anthony Joshua hit you with probably his hardest shot. You dropped and said, wow.” Jake replied, “I was like, wow, that was nice.”
When asked if Joshua’s power caught him off guard, Paul answered quickly: “No, but he surprised my jaw.” Logan followed up by asking about the injury. Jake responded, “It’s like a baseball in there. Four titanium plates. How many do you have?” Logan replied, “Just one.”
Paul also addressed the loss and the mental swing of the fight. “He was imposing his will on me and being massive, and the big shots landing, it goes downhill from there,” he said. Looking back at preparation, he added, “I wish I had more than three weeks to prepare, put on more muscle, sit there and hit him.”
“It’s a great experience overall to be in there with somebody that’s that good. I learned a lot,” he added. At the end of the fight, both players showed respect for each other.
