15-year-old suffers snake bite at Surat airport
Surat: A 15-year-old girl was bitten by a snake on the campus of Surat International Airport on Saturday while cutting grass with some of her family members near the vehicle parking area.Airport officials said the girl had allegedly entered the open area to cut grass, possibly for cattle feed. Soon after the incident, she was shifted to the New Civil Hospital.Doctors said the exact species of the snake has not yet been identified. The girl is undergoing treatment and remains under observation, with her condition stated to be critical.Officials said an investigation has been initiated to ascertain how the girl and her family managed to enter the open area inside the airport premises. The family, natives of Banswara district in Rajasthan, had come to Surat for labour work.
