Jamshedpur: Two youths, who were riding on a bike to a hotel for a late night dinner, died after being hit by a heavy vehicle in Jugsalai area late on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Krish (19) and Abhay (26), both residents of Adityapur colony, were travelling to Tatanagar railway station chowk for dinner.

Two of his other friends, who were also on a bike, were riding ahead of them. Near the railway crossing gate at Jugsalai, a speeding dumper from the opposite direction rammed into the bike, police said.
The impact of the collision was so severe that both got thrown onto the road. Pedestrians and other motorists rushed to the rescue of the boys and also alerted the police.
Jugsalai police rushed to the accident site and swiftly rescued the injured boys and sent them to MGMMCH for treatment.
But due to multiple serious injuries and profuse loss of blood, both succumbed to the injuries, police said.
“According to the information, the bike was hit by a dumper. However, probe is on. Both the boys were not wearing the safety helmet,” said Jugsalai police station in-charge, Sanjay Janak Purty.
