Kunal’s statue to be unveiled at city hospital
Patna: Mahavir Vatsalya Aspatal will provide free OPD services on Monday to mark the first death anniversary of Acharya Kishore Kunal and pay tribute to him. A statue of Kunal will also be unveiled on the hospital campus on the same day.Sharing details, hospital director Dr Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said all patients visiting the hospital on Monday will not be charged any OPD fee. “This is to pay tribute to the founder Acharya Kishore Kunal Ji. Even on other days, people pay just Rs 100 for OPD services, while other medical services are provided at very low rates. But on Monday, even that amount will not be charged,” he said.Dr Prasad added that Kunal’s wife, Anita Kunal, will unveil the statue on the hospital premises. He said a blood donation camp would also be organised on the occasion, which will be formally inaugurated by Mahavir Sansthan Nyas Samiti secretary Saayan Kunal.Kunal, a former IPS officer and founder secretary of the Mahavir Mandir Trust, was widely known for his social service and contributions in the field of public welfare. He passed away on Dec 29 last year.
