Pooja Singhal comes out of jail, to stay in NCR only

RANCHI: Suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal was on Wednesday released from the Birsa Munda Central jail following an interim bail granted by the Supreme Court. Singhal is an accused of MNREGA scam and money laundering case, which is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate. The ED had arrested her in the case on May 11. Notably, the SC has granted one-month bail to Singhal on the ground of ailment of her daughter. She has been directed not to stay in Jharkhand during the bail period. The SC order reached the special PMLA court which issued the necessary direction to the jail authorities. Subsequently, Singhal came out of the prison at around 2:30 pm. Sanjay Sahay
