Ramgarh Bridge Collapse: Minor Bridge Section Caves In on NH-23, Traffic Diverted

Ramgarh: A portion of a minor bridge sans guardrail which connected Ramgarh-Bokaro national highway-23 from Kothar locality under ward no. 29 of Ramgarh Municipal Council (RMC) caved-in on Monday. Officials on Tuesday said that movement through it has been stopped for safety reasons. The bridge also connected to jail road with Kothar locality. Azmal Hussain, executive officer (EO), RMC, said the team will soon go for ground inspection and take necessary steps for its repair or reconstruction. He, however, said that there is an alternate road for routine movements. Ramesh Mahto, ward member, who visited the spot said that an alternate path has been made for movement of two-wheelers and pedestrians.
