Two more held for burglary at DMK candidate’s house

Virudhunagar: Police arrested two more suspects in connecting with the burglary at the residence of Sattur DMK candidate on Thursday night. Police also recovered 34 sovereigns of gold jewellery from the duo.The accused have been identifies as Kanagaraj, 32, of Ettayapuram and Sakthivel, 21, of Paramakudi. Both were produced before the Sattur court and remanded in judicial custody.On April 14, 122 sovereigns of gold were reportedly stolen from the Sattur DMK candidate Kadarkarairaj's house in Venkatachalapuram. Three special teams were formed to crack the case.The investigation took a dramatic turn earlier this month when one suspect, Arokiya John Bosco, 40, surrendered in court. Subsequent inquiries led to the arrest of three more, including the MLA's daughter-in-law, Abinaya, 30, Abinaya's friend Bhavani, 30, and her husband Suresh Kumar, 31, who was in an extramarital relationship with Abinaya.
