Lucknow: Investors interested in setting up their units within the upcoming textile park in Malihabad can look forward to improved connectivity. The state on Monday gave its go-ahead to the public works department (PWD) to earmark a budget of about Rs547 crore to construct a six-lane-wide road between Atari and IIM road via Raitha.
The overall road stretch spanning 23km will link the textile park being executed in Atari village in a direct manner to both outer ring road as well as IIM road via Raitha underpass. “That way investors intending to access both Lucknow-Hardoi road, Sitapur road, Engineering College crossing and other parts of Lucknow district via outer ring road will not have to worry about connectivity. The upcoming road would improve overall accessibility of Atari village in Malihabad,” said a senior officer.
While the stretch between Raitha underpass and Atari would be a six-lane-wide greenfield project, IIM road and Raitha village would be provided two-lane-wide connectivity through widening of the existing road. Officials said that the local population staying in Mal, Malihabad and Dubagga too will derive the benefit along with local farmers and mango growers active in the belt. “Commute time to Amausi would also come down substantially,” the officer added.
Atari village has been selected as it is situated almost 45km away from Amausi airport, 40km away from Charbagh railway station and 15km from Malihabad railway station, among other important logistics hubs.
