Even as BJP registered its best-ever performance in Kerala by winning three seats, the party's overall vote share saw only a marginal increase compared with the 2021 assembly elections.
According to provisional data released by Election Commission of India (ECI), BJP secured 11.42% of the total valid votes polled in the state. This marks only a slight rise from the 11.30% votes the party received in the 2021 election. In 2016, the party got 10.53% of the votes.

Despite the only slight increase in vote share, BJP managed to translate the support into electoral victories in three constituencies - Nemom, Kazhakootam and Chathanoor.
BJP's vote share in Kerala has shown gradual growth over successive assembly elections.
However, the party's performance in the 2026 assembly election remained well below the 19.2% vote share it secured in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, when it also opened its parliamentary account in the state by winning the Thrissur constituency. tnn
