Hyderabad: Karimnagar police commissioner Gaush Alam told TOI that police would seek a prison transit warrant to take Bihar-based Subodh Singh into custody in connection with the PMJ Jewels robbery case..Police said Singh has a gang of around 70 associates who execute specialised armed robbiers to target gold-finance institutions or high-end gold shops."Subodh has multiple teams for different tasks — procuring weapons, arranging stolen motorcycles used during offences, securing fake identity proofs, executing robberies, collecting stolen property, and disposing of valuables," Karimnagar police told TOI. The Nalanda native is allegedly involved in 42 criminal cases across several states. The most high-profile are the robbery of gold worth 8 crore from a Manappuram Gold Loan branch in Katni, MP, and theft of jewellery worth nearly 4 crore from a Tanishq showroom in Purnia, Bihar. Police also linked his gang to operations in Bihar and Odisha.
