Lok Adalat reunites two estranged related couples in Fatehabad
Hisar: A long-standing matrimonial dispute between two related families ended happily at the National Lok Adalat in Fatehabad on Saturday, as two estranged couples agreed to reunite. The settlement, reached under the guidance of district and sessions judge Deepak Aggarwal, saw brothers Sandeep and Karan reconcile with sisters Kafi and Rachna, effectively saving two marriages through mediation. The case centered on a petition filed by Kafi against Sandeep, who had been living separately since 2021. During the proceedings before family court principal judge Shikha and District Legal Services Authority secretary Suyasha Jawa, the couples decided to set aside grievances that had been in litigation since 2022. Because the two sisters are married to the two real brothers, the successful counseling helped restore harmony across the entire extended family.Judicial officers noted that the resolution highlights the effectiveness of alternative dispute mechanisms in handling sensitive domestic issues. The families expressed their gratitude to the court, credited the timely mediation for preventing a permanent split and allowing the couples to resume their lives together.MSID:: 130977823 413 |
