Class X student dies by suicide

Times News NetworkChandigarh: A Class X student allegedly committed suicide at her residence. Police said no suicide note was found at the crime scene. The 17-year-old girl lived with her grandparents, brother and uncle. She was alone at home on Friday noon, when she took the extreme step.When her brother returned, he found her room locked from inside and knocked repeatedly, but there was no response. He informed the police at 112. A police team broke the door open and found the minor hanging. They took her to GMSH-16, but she was dead by then. Police ruled out any foul play as there were no external injury marks on the body. However, they said the exact cause of death would be confirmed after receipt of the autopsy report. Statements of family members, neighbours, school friends and teachers are being recorded to ascertain why she killed herself.MSID:: 130976360 413 |
