25 objections to DDCET answer key under review
Ahmedabad: The provisional answer key for the entrance examination for admission from diploma to degree engineering was released recently. Students were invited to raise objections against the answer key within a stipulated time frame. According to official sources, around 25 students have submitted objections on various questions.
A total of 21,829 students appeared for the Degree Diploma Common Entrance Test (DDCET) held on May 5 for lateral entry into the third semester of degree engineering courses. Similarly, 338 students appeared for the entrance test conducted on May 9 for admission from diploma pharmacy to degree pharmacy programmes.
After the exam, the provisional answer key was published as per the rules, allowing students to challenge any discrepancies. Officials stated that all objections received have been forwarded to a subject expert committee for review. The committee will carefully examine each objection, and if any claim is found valid, appropriate corrections will be made. In such cases, marks may be awarded to affected students.
If the objections are deemed invalid, the final answer key will be released without changes. Authorities have also confirmed that the final results are expected to be declared by the end of May. Students were required to pay a fee of Rs 500 per question while submitting objections, which will be refunded if their claims are accepted.
The merit list will be prepared based on the test results, and the registration process for admissions is likely to begin in the second week of June.
