Agra: Two people were killed and four others suffered serious injuries in a pile-up involving six vehicles due to dense fog in Agra around 7 am on Monday morning. The vehicles were travelling towards Gwalior when they crashed one after the other on Agra-Gwalior highway near Nagla Imli village under Iradat Nagar police station of Agra district.
Upon receiving information, local police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. Several victims were trapped inside mangled vehicles and were pulled out. Emergency services cleared the wreckage to restore traffic movement on the busy highway.
"Traffic on the highway remained disrupted for some time following the accident. The damaged vehicles were soon removed from the road and traffic was restored. We advised motorists to exercise caution while driving during foggy conditions, particularly in early morning hours," DCP (Agra East) Abhishek Agrawal said.
A local resident, Satyendra Singh Chahar, said, "Visibility dropped to near zero due to the dense fog. It was impossible to see even a few metres ahead."

The dead include Vishnu (65), a resident of Kakua village under Malpura police station, and Imran (30), a resident of Vyapaari Mohalla under Kiraoli police station.
