Against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Browns made it clear they were not leaving anything to chance. Garrett lined up across the defensive front, rushing from different angles and applying constant pressure on Joe Burrow.
Late in the fourth quarter, the breakthrough finally arrived. Garrett beat left tackle Orlando Brown Jr., closed in on Burrow, and secured his 23rd sack of the season. The play pushed him past the previous single-season record of 22.5 held by Michael Strahan and T.J.
Watt. Paycor Stadium erupted as Garrett celebrated, and Cleveland’s 20-18 win was the icing on the cake.
Mahomes was ecstatic with his congratulatory remarks on X, writing, “Congrats! @Flash_Garrett,” Garrett later replied, writing, “Thank you Brotha.” Other stars joined in, including Micah Parsons, who called Garrett legendary, while Texas A&M Football proudly named him the new sack king. Mahomes later showed the same appreciation closer to home.

Travis Kelce reaching 13,000 receiving yards, as he wrote “13K!” on X. The QB may have been on the sidelines due to his injury, but he made time to recognize and appreciate greatness on the field irrespective of where it comes from.
