Alliance standings across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states with leads still shifting in several constituencies. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared and 105 leading, leaving them just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55, all in leads with no seats declared yet. In West Bengal, BJP has crossed the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house on the strength of its tally, with 11 seats won and 168 leading for a combined tally of 179. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly, with 13 seats already won and 5 more leading for a tally of 18. SPA stands at a tally of 5, with 2 won and 3 leading. Kerala's 140-seat assembly requires 71 for a majority. UDF leads with a tally of 87, having won 68 and leading in 19 more. LDF has won 30 and is leading in 6, for a tally of 36. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala.
