ISLAMABAD: Pakistani investigatorshave questioned two men from Bahawalpur in Punjab province for their allegedlinks to Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone terrorist captured by India during theMumbai attacks.
A team from the Federal Investigation Agency, thePakistani body probing the Mumbai terror strikes, interrogated Shahid Ghafoorand Shahid Nazir, both residents of Bahawalpur, over two days.
Lawenforcement agencies in Bahawalpur were not aware of the questioning of the twomen till last morning, The News daily quoted its sources as saying.
The sources said the FIA team had made no breakthrough during itsinvestigation in Bahawalpur.
No further details were immediatelyavailable. Bahawalpur is considered one of the main bases of the outlawedJaish-e-Mohammed led by Maulana Masood Azhar.
Pakistan has filedformal charges against nine suspects, including Kasab, for the Mumbai attacks.
Six of these suspects have been detained by Pakistani authoritieswhile two are still at large.
