Vedaranyam election results 2026: AIADMK’s O S Manian wins

Manian. O.S of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the Vedaranyam constituency with a margin of 7331 votes. He garnered 59172 votes, while Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate Pugazhendi. M came second with 51841 votes.Vedaranyam is a coastal constituency in Nagapattinam district, famous for its salt pans and historical significance in the freedom struggle. In the 2021 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s O S Manian won the seat with 78,719 votes, defeating DMK’s S K Vetharathinam, who secured 66,390 votes. The margin of victory was 12,329 votes. In the 2016 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s O S Manian won the seat with 60,836 votes, defeating INC’s P V Rajendiran, who received 37,838 votes. The margin of victory was 22,998 votes. In the 2011 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s N V Kamaraj won the seat with 74,007 votes, defeating PMK’s S K Vetharathinam, who secured 63,079 votes. The margin of victory was 10,928 votes.
