Rupahihat is a general category Assembly constituency located in the Nagaon district of Assam. Following the 2023 delimitation exercise, the constituency is now part of the Nagaon Parliamentary constituency.
Earlier, it was part of the Kaliabor Lok Sabha seat, which has now been redrawn and renamed as Kaziranga.
In the 2026 Assembly elections, Nurul Huda of Congress beat Aminul Islam of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) and Jakir Hussain Faraji of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) representing the NDA.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,89,990 registered voters, with 1,79,955 valid votes cast.
Congress candidate Nurul Huda won the seat with 1,32,091 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Najir Hussain finished second with 25,739 votes, losing by a margin of 1,06,352 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Rupahihat had 1,67,578 electors, with 1,52,895 valid votes recorded. Congress candidate Nurul Huda won the seat with 72,627 votes, defeating All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) candidate Nurul Amin Chowdhury, who secured 50,783 votes. The victory margin was 21,844 votes.
