Patharkandi Election Results 2026: BJP's Krishnendu Paul wins against Congress's Kartik Sena Sinha

NEW DELHI: Krishnendu Paul of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Patharkandi constituency with 98,101 votes, defeating Congress candidate Kartik Sena Sinha by a margin of 46,764 votes. Sinha secured 51,337 votes.Nine candidates contested from Patharkandi in Assam's 2026 Assembly Election, along with NOTA.Patharkandi assembly constituency is one of the 126 constituencies in the Assam Legislative Assembly. It is a general category seat and is not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) or Scheduled Tribes (STs). The constituency is part of the Karimganj Lok Sabha segment.In the 2021 Assembly elections, BJP candidate Krishnendu Paul won the seat by defeating Congress candidate Sachin Sahoo. The victory margin was 4,467 votes.According to Election Commission data, Patharkandi had 1,51,205 registered voters in the 2021 elections. This included 76,608 male voters and 74,598 female voters, with no third-gender voters recorded.
