Pandua (constituency no. 192) is a largely rural constituency in Hooghly district, forming part of the Hooghly Lok Sabha segment. The constituency covers the Pandua community development block, which is known for its agricultural economy, particularly for potato and jute cultivation.
Pandua is located approximately 27 kilometres from Chinsurah and is well connected by road and rail to major urban centres of the district.
In 2021, TMC's Dr Ratna De Nag, a senior party leader and former MP from Hooghly, won the Pandua seat. In 2016, the TMC also held this constituency. The constituency had been a consistent TMC stronghold since 2011.
The predominantly rural character of the seat means agricultural policy and connectivity remain key issues.
