Vijayawada: Chief minister
N Chandrababu Naidu will undertake an official visit to New Delhi on Monday to hold a series of high-level meetings with Union ministers, economic policymakers, and industry leaders, with a focus on infrastructure development and securing central assistance for the state.
According to an official communication, Naidu will depart from Hyderabad on Monday morning and begin his engagements in the national capital with a meeting with Union home minister
Amit Shah at 11.30 am. The chief minister is expected to discuss several issues related to the state, including pending projects, administrative matters, and support from the Centre.
Naidu will later meet Union Jal Shakti minister C R Patil to discuss irrigation, water resource management, and key infrastructure projects linked to the state’s development agenda. Sources said issues concerning central funding, river-linking projects, and ongoing water infrastructure initiatives are likely to figure prominently during the discussions. He will also discuss the release of early funds for the
Polavaram project.
As part of his Delhi tour, representatives of the World Bank are scheduled to meet the chief minister at around 3 pm on Monday. The discussions are expected to focus on developmental partnerships, infrastructure financing, urban development, and reforms being undertaken by the state govt.
In the evening, Naidu will participate in the CII business summit organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The summit is expected to bring together policymakers, industrialists, and investors to deliberate on economic growth, industrial expansion, and investment opportunities.
The chief minister is also scheduled to interact with members of NITI Aayog, including Prime Minister’s economic advisory council chairman, S Mahendra Dev. The meetings will focus on economic priorities, investment promotion, and strategies for accelerating growth and infrastructure development in the state.
