Chief election commissioner offers prayers at Tirumala

Tirupati: The chief election commissioner of India, Gyanesh Kumar, offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at the iconic Tirumala temple on Sunday. TTD Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary coordinated the Darshan arrangements of CEC and felicitated Gyanesh Kumar with the Srivari portrait. Vedic scholars rendered Vedasirvachanam and offered the temple’s prasadams. On the sidelines of his two-day visit to Tirupati and Chittoor districts, Gyanesh Kumar and family also visited Kanipakam and Srikalahasti temples. Meanwhile, Guntur-based Karumuri Super Specialities Hospital chairman Dr Karumuri Srinivasulu Reddy extended a donation of ₹10 lakh to TTD’s BIRRD trust on Sunday. Srinivasulu Reddy handed over his donation to the TTD Additional EO in the presence of Board member Nannapaneni Sadasiva Rao at the Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the Tirumala temple on Sunday.
