SPU approves recruitment for key non-teaching vacancies
Vadodara: Sardar Patel University has completed the recruitment process for several non-teaching posts, with the university's executive council approving the appointments. The recruitment process was conducted through written examinations using the OMR method. SPU officials said the appointments are expected to strengthen administrative efficiency while creating employment opportunities for deserving candidates seeking govt jobs. The university released a provisional answer key after the examinations and reviewed objections raised by candidates before preparing the final answer key. To maintain transparency, candidates' marks were uploaded on the university website for self-verification.In the final stage, original documents of three candidates for each vacancy were verified on the basis of merit before the final selection list was announced. The recruitment covered posts including junior clerk-cum-typist, senior clerk, senior technical assistant (electronics), statistical assistant, compounder, punch operator, mason, guest house attendant, copy holder-cum-clerk, junior compositor, helper to curator, workshop mechanic and wireman.SPU vice-chancellor Niranjan Patel said the transparent recruitment drive, conducted after a long gap, provided deserving and talented candidates an opportunity to secure jobs.He added that filling vacant posts would help address staff shortages, improve student-centric services, and strengthen digitalisation and administrative accuracy at the university. The university also said candidates from the waiting list would be considered on merit if vacancies arise in future.
