Vadodara: Around 20 persons were injured after a private bus overturned and fell into a roadside ravine near a village in Limkheda taluka of Dahod district early on Friday morning.
According to sources, the bus was travelling from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh to Godhra. Most of the passengers had reportedly gone on a pilgrimage to the Mahakal temple in Ujjain and were returning home when the accident took place.
Police said the driver lost control of the bus , causing the vehicle to veer off the road and plunge into the ravine. The bus overturned after falling into the ditch.
Most passengers were asleep at the time of the accident. Following the incident, emergency ambulance services, police personnel and local residents rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers .The injured were shifted for treatment.
Limkheda police have launched an investigation and will question the driver to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
