Fire breaks out at spa in Racecourse high-rise

Vadodara: A fire broke out at a spa on the sixth floor of a high-rise commercial building in the Racecourse area of the city on Saturday morning, triggering panic among occupants and visitors. A short circuit is suspected to have caused the blaze.According to sources, the incident was reported at around 10am at a spa located in the Everest Onyx Commercial Complex opposite the Ellora Park vegetable market. The spa was closed at the time of the incident, preventing any casualties inside the premises.However, four people were stranded inside a lift on the second floor after the building's power supply was disrupted due to the fire. Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and safely rescued all four.Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread to other parts of the building. Further investigation into the exact cause of the fire is underway.
