Trichy: Dr G Viswanathan Hospitals in Trichy introduced ‘MedBot Toumai MT,' an advanced robotic surgical platforms, on Wednesday. The state-of-the-art four-arm robotic system enables surgeons to perform complex procedures with exceptional precision, flexibility, and control. By replicating the surgeon's hand movements through tiny incisions, MedBot Toumai MT offers enhanced accuracy and safety while significantly reducing trauma to the patient, according to a hospital statement.Key features of the system include 360-degree rotational movement, high-definition 3D vision with up to 10x magnification, tremor filtration technology, and precise tissue dissection with improved hemostasis. The hospital has introduced robotic-assisted procedures including colectomy, hysterectomy, gastrectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, thyroidectomy, esophagectomy, and lung lobectomy for cancer treatment.
