Power cut in Trichy today
Trichy: Tangedco has announced a power shutdown in Trichy due to monthly maintenance work at Srirangam 110/11KV substation on Tuesday. North and South Ulveethi, Ambedkar Nagar, Flood Bank Road, Arul Murugan Garden, Trunk Road, Chennai Bypass, Keela Kondayampettai, Jambukeswarar Nagar, Akilandeshwari Nagar, No 1 Tollgate, Maruti Nagar, Thalakudi, Thiruvalarsolai, Ponnurangapuram, Thiruvennainallur, Panayapuram, Uthamarseeli and Kilikoodu will face power cut between 9.45am and 4pm. Due to the disruption, Trichy corporation's drinking water collector wells will not pump and store water on Tuesday. So, overhead tanks in Viraguppettai, Marakkadai, Woraiyur, Thillai Nagar, Cantonment, Karumandapam, Ramalinga Nagar, Milaguparai and Thiruverumbur will not supply water on Wednesday. Water supply will resume from May 14.
